Eight product guides, one orientation table
This table summarizes product identity, not suitability or dose equivalence. Current indications can contain narrower criteria than a short label can show; open the product guide and monograph before acting.[8][9][10][11][12][13][14][15]
| Brand | Ingredient | Route / frequency | Authorized-use focus |
|---|---|---|---|
| Ozempic | semaglutide | Subcutaneous injection / Once weekly | Type 2 diabetes and defined cardiovascular or kidney risk-reduction uses |
| Wegovy | semaglutide | Subcutaneous injection / Once weekly | Chronic weight management and other monograph-defined uses |
| Mounjaro | tirzepatide | Subcutaneous injection / Once weekly | Type 2 diabetes |
| Zepbound | tirzepatide | Subcutaneous injection / Once weekly | Chronic weight management and obstructive sleep apnea |
| Rybelsus | semaglutide | Oral tablet / Once daily | Type 2 diabetes |
| Saxenda | liraglutide | Subcutaneous injection / Once daily | Chronic weight management |

Follow the ingredient and indication bridges
Use the semaglutide, tirzepatide and liraglutide guides when the ingredient is the question. Use a product page when the prescription, indication, DIN, monograph or coverage rule is the question.
For a side-by-side decision framework, start at the comparison hub. None of these pages selects treatment for an individual.
Current and historical products need different status language
Health Canada’s DPD status is attached to an exact DIN and presentation. Marketed means an active DIN currently sold in Canada; Cancelled Post Market means the DIN was cancelled after sale was discontinued; Cancelled Pre Market means it was cancelled before being marketed. None of these labels reports stock at a particular pharmacy.
Soliqua DIN 02478293, a fixed-ratio insulin glargine/lixisenatide product, was Marketed when checked August 14, 2026. It belongs here as a combination-product micro-context, not as a standalone lixisenatide page.
Historical exenatide and lixisenatide records remain useful for recognition: Byetta DIN 02361809 and Bydureon DIN 02448610 were Cancelled Post Market; Bydureon BCise DIN 02483203 was Cancelled Pre Market; and the cited Adlyxine DIN 02464284 was Cancelled Post Market. These statuses do not establish remaining stock or current access.[2][3][4][5][6][7]
| Product / DIN | Ingredient context | DPD lifecycle |
|---|---|---|
| Soliqua / 02478293 | Insulin glargine + lixisenatide | Marketed |
| Byetta / 02361809 | Exenatide | Cancelled Post Market |
| Bydureon / 02448610 | Extended-release exenatide | Cancelled Post Market |
| Bydureon BCise / 02483203 | Extended-release exenatide | Cancelled Pre Market |
| Adlyxine / 02464284 | Lixisenatide | Cancelled Post Market |
How treatment selection actually happens
A clinician connects the authorized indication with medical history, current medicines, contraindications, goals, monitoring and practical access. Then the cash-cost method and plan-check workflow test affordability.
